About SouthWest Metro
Providing partnerships in education
SouthWest Metro 288 is an intermediate district providing specialized educational services to a group of invested "member" school districts.
Member districts utilize SouthWest Metro programming for several primary reasons:
- Member districts can collectively fund specialized programming that would be too costly for an individual district to fund.
- SWMetro programming provides students access to specialized instructors and support professionals that are in high-demand positions that can be difficult for an individual district to staff.
- SouthWest Metro can provide training and programming resources to member district staff that may be too costly for an individual district to provide.

Strategic Planning
In the fall of 2022 SouthWest Metro undertook a strategic planning process to inform short-term and long term planning goals. With the perspectives of SWMetro leadership, teachers, support staff, families and students the district was able to create a series of strategic priorities.
When developing our strategic priorities, we look to our core values as well as our mission and vision statements as outlined below.
