SouthWest Metro School Board Policies
School Board policies are the foundational rules and guidelines that govern the operations, decision-making, and priorities of a school district. In SouthWest Metro Intermediate District 288, these policies are adopted and overseen by the SouthWest Metro Intermediate District School Board, which ensures that the district operates in alignment with state laws, educational standards, and community values. The Board uses these policies to guide administrative actions, uphold accountability, and support student success.
Organization of Policies
The School Board policy series are organized by topic into numbered categories (100–900), with each series covering a specific area such as Employees/Personnel, Students, Education Programs, or Buildings & Sites. This structure helps ensure clarity, consistency, and easy access to relevant policies for staff, district families, and the public.
