Student First Responder Competition
Student First Responder Competition
Up and coming emergency responder students from across the metro showed off their skills during the Minnesota State Youth Emergency Care Competition held at SWMetro's Dean Lakes Education Center in Shakopee. In all, 88 students making up 22 teams were judged in three separate scenarios. In order to give students an authentic experience, it took at least 100 volunteers who were mostly medically trained personnel. Teams from Osseo, Spring Lake Park, Forest Lake, Burnsville and SWMetro competed. First, second and third place went to teams from Spring Lake Park. SWMetro's team won the "Most Professional" award. Congratulations to all participants, and, THANK YOU for considering a career in health care!
